Douro's Inland Waterway 2020 was born from the need of modernising Douro’s River inland waterway, a waterway with more than 200 kilometres of extension and a long history connected to its regional development.

During 2016, Douro’s bank welcomes several moments not only to celebrate a river full of stories, but also to inform the population about the waterway’s intervention, an operation that will allow a more modern and fully navigable river, more appealing to commodity’s transportation.
